Yarn Strong Sista takes pride in preserving and sharing this cultural heritage through its creative storytelling sessions and vibrant events. Our offerings go beyond traditional storytelling, with activities designed to engage, educate, and entertain. From face painting inspired by Indigenous animals to puppet shows that depict everyday adventures, we ensure every session is immersive and meaningful. Led by Annette Sax, a Taungurung woman, their performances celebrate the deep-rooted traditions of Aboriginal culture, offering something for everyone.   Understanding Aboriginal culture starts by breaking down prejudices and exploring lived experiences. Yarn Strong Sista’s  Aboriginal awareness workshops  c ombine storytelling, group work, and hands-on art to offer a deeper insight into contemporary Indigenous identities. Guided by Dr Sue Atkinson-Lopez’s research, these dynamic sessions challenge outdated beliefs, highlight the richness of Aboriginal pedagogy, and inspire meaningful change in participants’ perceptions.
